This is highly subjective, but as far as the top-rated and highest-grossing movies of all-time, the following: The Shawshank Redemption; The Godfather; The Dark Knight;The Godfather 2; Angry Man; Pulp Fiction; The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, and several others that you will probably also hear as the best, based on their writing, directing, acting, and just because they’re great movies and overall has been widely regarded as the best movies of all time.

The Shawshank Redemption

This film is celebrated for its strong story, memorable performances and positive representation of hope, and consistently ranks among the most motivational dramas ever produced, on every critic and audience list. Dufresne remains innocent in his understanding, he ultimately must adapt to a new view of prison life.

The Godfather (1972)

The Godfather is a crime-drama movie directed by Francis Ford Coppola that came out in 1972 that is regarded as one of the greatest movies ever. The movie depicts many generations of the crime family and follows at first the family patriarch and organized crime figure Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) in his organization.

12 Angry Men (1957) is a classic courtroom drama. We focus on the deliberation of the jury in a murder trial. An 18-year-old boy from a slum in New York is accused of stabbing his father to death.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Pulp Fiction

Not what I was hoping for. Pulp Fiction is famous for its nonlinear narrative style within the various interconnected stories in Los Angeles’s crime world. The sections are noted as chapters, where certain characters develop throughout each other’s chapters and the film overall.

Kane, while grasping a snow globe in his hand, mutters an enigmatic last word – “Rosebud.” Jerry Thompson is a newsreel reporter, assigned to look into the meaning of “Rosebud.”

Casablanca

The plot follows Rick Blaine, an American expatriate who manages an influential nightspot and gambling house in Casablanca called “Rick’s Café Américain. Rick claims he does not care about political issues but he has a complex story of involvement in the fight against fascism.
